Sharina's Diary :)

It's been 6 months since i've started to gain the weight that i loss. and it WILL end here.

tomorrow morning, i'll be cycling on the stationary bike for 17 mins and i want to get 7km in. i'll try not to eat in between meals but i think the occasional cracker should be alright.

'tis a brand new day and a great start for a better future.:)

end of first day

First of all, thanks for the reply!

I did get through today ok i think. i checked the scales and i weigh in at 80 kilos or 172lbs. this is the heaviest i've been. it's depressing as i strived so hard to lose 10 kilos last year and now i've gained it back.

i tried my very best not to eat in between meals today but it was a bit hard today. i went out with my friends and we watched a movie. so of course pop corn was invovled. (sigh).

i felt really envious as i saw my friends buying clothes that are half my size. all i could do was stand around and give fashion tips as they modeled outfit after outfit. it felt really depressing as i saw my reflection in the mirror. my protuding belly and thunder thighs are really disheartening.

but i decided that i'll be the one modelling outfits at the next sale.

i pledge to lose 20 kilos by july and another 10 by september after that.

:)

Hi Sharina and welcome :)

How many meals do you eat in a day? If you only have 3 meals a day, I encourage you to eat in-between meals but make good choices. If you eat every 3-4 hours you will keep hunger at bay. Include a protein and a good, complex carb with every meal and snack. Eating 5-6 times a day has helped me tremendously. Don't wait too long to eat, otherwise your blood sugar will get low which causes your body to store more fat. Hopefully somebody else will chime in :D because I'm not an expert, I'm just speaking from experience. I used to eat only 2-3 times a day and it did nothing for me but slow my metabolism.

Good luck!

Welcome

First of all, welcome Sharina. You have goals that you set and you WILL achieve them. Be consistent with your workouts. Also Lisa makes a good point, you should be eating 5-6 smaller healthy meals in a day. Drink lots of water also. Don't get down on yourself. Keep plugging away and you'll be fine. Best of luck to you.

2nd Day down.

First of all, thank you so much for the words of encouragment. It means so much to me to have all this support.

Secondly, i've tried adding 2 more additional meals in my day but I would eat a cracker or two and some fruits. does that sound alright?

Today was slightly better than yesterday as the only fattening thing i had was a bowl of rice porridge for dinner. i did some skipping this morning and i also ran up the stairs about 5 times.

I felt energize at work today! i did not feel sleepy as usual nor did i over eat!
