Shadow Boxing?

Hi folks. Today on my walk I wanted to jog more, but my girlfriend wasn't up to it and I didn't want to leave her behind. So, I want to add some more cardio to my plan that I can do without her...and I was thinking....

Shadow Boxing. 3 or 5 minute rounds, 5 or 3 rounds, depending on round length with maybe a 30 sec to a minute rest between rounds.

Do you think this is a good idea? Would it be worth it?

Boxers "can be" one of the best conditioned "athletes".

Anyone throwing fists (nonstop and as fast as possible) will realize its no joke to do it for 3 minutes, rest 1 minute, and then repeat. They WILL receive a wake up pill in this "type" of endurance activity.

Do you enjoy it?

Does it pump you up?

Does it get you energetic?

Can you get a heavy bag?

If properly implemented with the other parts of your routine I do not see any harm. It will expend "potentially" a lot of calories, increase cardiovascular endurance, and if you like doing it, keep you active.

I dont see the harm at the present.

Best wishes
