Help! I have been running about 2-3 miles 3-4 times a day for almost a year. On a treadmill. Lately I have been trying to incorporate running/sprinting..almost high intesntiy training, but probably not as much as I could be doing. Anyways, the other day I was running on a 7.5 speed on the treadmill for about 4 minutes, I then put it up to around 8.3-8.5 for about a little over a minute. I slowed it down and got this cramping that was the most awful feeling ever. It was not where I normally get cramps, it was more in my lower stomach and it was a constant cramp. It burned, and didn't go away with deep breaths. I stopped and walked for about 3 minutes, hoping I could start up again, but I couldn't. The cramping ( if I should call it that ) was still there. It was almost like someone was taking my lower insides and twisting them around. It hurt really bad. I am wondering if anyone knows what this could be from. And - I wasn't dehydrated ( drink TONS of water, there is no way I could even be slightly). I can't think of any other reason...any help would be appreciated. thank you =)
