Hey folks, I've been wondering about using sesame oil lately. I've really just recently started trying to get my diet in check and counting calories and such, so I'm pretty new to the whole thing. Everyone says that olive oil is the best thing to use, but I really like to use sesame oil with many things that I cook, especially chicken and rice dishes.
The nutrition information on my sesame oil is exactly the same as my extra virgin olive oil. I don't tend to cook with a whole tablespoon when I use sesame oil either, just a teaspoon seems to be enough for flavor and oiling in most cases.
Is this stuff significantly better, worse or neautral when compared to olive oil? In the case that it's worse, is it so much worse that using 3 times as much olive oil, ie tbsp vs. tsp, is better?
Thanks.
