Start of slowly and build yourself up, the more you do the more energy you'll have (but there is a limit- you do still need to sleep and rest!).
Maybe start off with a 30 min walk once per day and build from that, add running or jogging a few weeks or month later when you feel like it. You'll find that once you master the walking and feel you have energy left to spare at the end, that doing more will come naturally, the point is that your trying to make it just that bit more difficult then you can already manage- this is training. You become used to your goals, reach them easily, then set higher goals, you become better, stronger, fitter and having more energy is a side effect from that.
Your joints are likely to be stiff as your not moving. Move more they will ache less and you will find things become easier.
However is you notice any serious swelling, bruising or feel very sharp jagged pain, see a medical expert to rule out anything serious.
