Sport Satisfying Cravings

Sport Fitness
I was just wonder what people do about any cravings they get for the odd piece of chocolate etc. I can avoid them completely if i need to. But is it ever alright to satisfy some cravings every now and again, obviously without going overboard.

i have one cheat meal a week. usually saturdays dinner. and by cheat i dont mean go completely nuts. I try to make it as sensible as possible, but i dont let my diet restrictions hold me back from ordering something that might be a little too unhealthy. Oh and dessert is a must on saturday.

It helps keep you sane. You are doing this to make yourself better. If i couldnt cheat every once in a while, i may be more healthy physically, but mentally id be one grumpy dude. It helps keep me on track

I'm more or less the same. I actually allow me to cheat whenever I want to, but I never find me actually doing it in the end. I'm always like "nah, not now..." ;)

Personally I satisfy my sweet cravings with peanut butter (low carb) or protein bar. A salty craving I satisfy with nuts (almonds, walnuts, etc.).
Not sure if that helps.

just try and have it after workouts so it won't store as fat...i love cerial so as well as having for breaky i have it straight after training with whey and i also train at least 5/week so i can have it twice in 1 day...win win

Hey Dan,

Did you know that sweet cravings can be a sign of fungal overgrowth? Thats right... if you are eating meals that are balanced for your metabolic type and are still having cravings, it may not be you that is hungry - it's your little Fungi Friends.

Fungal overgrowth is quite common in our world of - "eat ****ty food, get sick and take antibiotics". The problem is, that once you've get an over abundance of these suckers and their colonies they start asking for food.

Fungus will release powerful "mico-toxins" or fungi poop into your blood stream. These micotoxins are desined to make the host "crave" whatever it is that the microorganisim needs to surive... in this case, sugar.

You can rest assured that you have a yeast or fungal over growth if you: have taken antibiotics with out re-flourinating, have dandroff, yellow toenails, rashes, fart alot, diareha....

Stop eating sugar and the colonies will die off... in a few days / weeks the cravings will stop.

...um or he just wants a darn piece of pie

I have found some awesome fruit sorbets that have only 60 calories per serving, no fat, and only about 10 g of sugar. That kills any sweet cravings I have.

You just have to be careful, because it's easy to want to eat a whole bucket of that stuff

Save treats to post workout.

I don't really mean just sweets, i mean anything like pizza, or as said, "a darn piece of pie" lol.

I don't find myself wanting these foods every day, its usually just after a straight week of eating right i feel like having something a bit different lol.
