Sport Salad Dressing/Olive Oil?

Sport Fitness
Looking for information about salad dressing/olive oil. I was told that I shouldn't eat my salad with fat free dressing - that you need Fats - good oils to break the salad down. This person suggested using a packet of Good seasoning Italian Dressing and mix with Balsomic Vinegar and EVO. This way I would be getting some good fats. It is DELICIOUS. It tastes too good to be healthy. Has anyone else ever heard of this and if so does anyone know how many calories, fat, etc. would be in a teaspoon?

Olive oil
is about 120 calories per tbsp... 119 acording to this site but I think it is a rounding error...

it is all fat...

that being said... it depends on your mixture... how much balsamic vinegar vs evo...

if you add a big of crumbled blue cheese and some crushed almonds you have a really really really good salad dressing...

as for what good seasons packet adds... well if you buy their prepared dressing

it has 90 calories per 2 tbsp.

Thanks Joey007 - Even though it's healthy for you, it's a fat and I think I am consuming about 40-50 grams of fat a day. (Sometimes more and sometimes less.) I don't know if I am consuming too much fat a day. If I eat salad twice a day and have salad dressing made of EVO and Balsomic Vinegar, I figure 20 grams of my daily fat is coming from salad dressing alone and that can't be good. Right? Also, If I eat 3 egg whites scrambled with 1 teaspoon of EVO in the morning, thats even more fat and I haven't even figured in my dinner.

Try using a cooking spray like pam to cook your eggs... the butter flavored pam is really good and adds that hint of butter you crave to your eggs...

if you have a good omlet pan or good nonstick just a quick spray of pam is all you need for your eggs... that will cut back on some fat... if you are worried

ur welcome, and i'd suggest you eat egg whites from hard boiled eggs, separating the yolk :] 34 g of calories per egg white with 3 g of protein. > 0 fat < :]
