About 2-3 months ago i did my knee it, the bone was sticking out a good bit more than i should.
The doctor sent me for a scan and i waited for the results (4 weeks of no running, squats but the odd straight-leg dead). apparantly my knee was normal, despite the deformation of my middle leg.
It did go down and stop being so painful so i presume it was a ligament problem. my dad (49) has bad knee trouble after years of intense footballing and i expected to get it as well, just not at 23!
I started to take glucosomine sulphate after someone with severe arthritis said how effective they were. for the last month ive had no or much-lessened trouble. i run twice a week, and play football as well.
however, ive heard that glucosomine loosens ligaments, and am wondering if i should be taking this? at 23 id rather not be but it has helped and im finding im squating and running with far less after-aches.
thanks for all advice
