well yesterday my wife let our dogs out to meet the kids at the bus, it was raining outside so the hurried into the house.....well my wife forgot about the dogs.
when I came home 3 hours later I asked where the dogs were, and my wife said she had no idea. So the search began at dusk on a cold rainy day. Several hours no dogs found.
This morning I called the animal shelter and they had caught our older dog, 7 year old chocolate lab, my wife was home so she ran over to get our dog.
Later on in the day, the Dog catcher called me on my cell phone that he located our Puppy, 1 year old Black lab, she was struck and killed by a car on the highway about a mile from our house.
I am sad, she was agood dog and was alot of fun, but now I face the task of telling my three children that their Puppy will never be comming home to play with them, while we are happy we found our older dog, it is truly devestating to be missing part of your family.
I plan on buying a statue of a black lab and keeping it in our garden with her old collar on it.
