I'm hoping I can get some good advice and criticism on what i'm currently doing. My friend and I have been going to the gym for the past 2 months now.. when we first started our main goal was just getting in shape and distance running. We run every other day.. about 3 miles (burning about 550cal). On the days that we don't run we lift weights.. full upper body workouts.. usually about 2 exercises for the following muscles: chest, triceps, biceps, shoulders, back, abs. So our week goes like this:
Mon- RUN
Tue- full body workout
wed- RUN
thur- full body workout
...etc... we usually hit the gym every day.. no days off. We found that the day in between allows our muscles/legs to recover. My goal is to lose body fat and gain as much muscle as i can simultaneously.. (dont know if thats even possible).. i'm a newbie... please criticize away!
