Running Tips

I do advanced PE and we had road runs every two days. They are 5.3 K and some of them are 7 K. On my 5.3 K run I got 19 minutes. I am looking to shave off even more minutes off that..any help? Like tips and stuff.

Also when I come back from these runs, My calves and my thighs just cramp up and i get in immense pain. This lasts 3 to 4 days..what should i do?

Your Solution

You want to strengthen your calves and get more stamina, right? I recommend doing at least 25-50 hindu squats every morning when you wake up. These squats are not only fast and easy to do, but they increase your lung power and strengthen your calves all in one exercise. When your lung power is strong, you'll have more stamina. Which means you can run faster for longer periods of time. That can help you shave off plenty of minutes.

Oh and before you start running in Advanced P.E., take a short jog so you can warm-up the legs muscles that you will be using when you really start running.
