Running shoes?

I'm about to start running again, something I haven't done (except from the mailbox to the house if it's raining) since I got out of the army four years ago. One of the big things I remember is getting blisters from my shoes. (I've always had finicky feet).

Do you guys have any particular brands of shoes that you would recommend for runners? Anything you like more than others?
 
My favorite shoe even while I was in the military is the Mizuno wave rider. It's a running shoe not a nike or some other pretty boy shoe. You should go to a running store so they can look at your stride. This way, if you pronate or whatever they will get you a shoe to match. They all do it for free. Bring your old pair with you so they can look at your tread wear. A running shoe is not something you want to go cheap on. Get a good one and you WILL be a happy runnner.
P.S. good to see the grunts still know how to run ! :D
