Running Questions need advice

Hi,I will be starting the Police Academy here in a couple months and one of the requirements is to run(not walk) a 1.5 mile without stopping.

Currently I can run about 1/4 of a mile to maybe a half mile if I really really push myself.

I am wondering about how long it will take me to run that distance without stopping. Is it realistic to think that I can be able to run or even exceed a 1.5 mile run within 2 months time? what are some tips and advice that you can offer so that I can achieve this goal.

Also does anyone have any advice on intensive calethetics training?

Thank you for your time.

in two months, you should be able to do 1.5 miles without stopping if you train regularly. There are probably a ton of programs online that help with academy training. Unfortunately, I'm not naturally a runner, so not the best person to give advice on building up endurance.

Im also no major athlete but that goal is possible just running every day or every other day will significantly impove your cardio.

you can run at a pace your comfortable with and try to get your heart rate into the cardio zone (Google cardio training heart rate zone) and then just practice and not give up then 1.5 miles without a time limit will be a peace of cake ;)

I would like to tell you something about Calisthenics training. Calisthenics training is especially very helpful for the athletes. It is very helpful for anybody as it helps to built endurance as well as strength. Although many athletes neglect calisthenics training and miss out on the great opportunity they have to increase strength.

But if you want to get full benefit from Calisthenics training you must eat right and drink plenty of water. That means that you need to be eating lots of protein and drinking 6-8 glasses of water each of every day.
