Do people wear long tights to run in warm weather to enhance endurance and aid with heat tolerance, and keep muscles warm and limber? I seem to see more women than men in long tights in warmer weather. Is it a woman thingy?
I would just wear whatever is comfortable.
I personally cant run outside. I have trouble breathing.. but I live in Dallas, so it's not like the air is great.
when i first started running though i had to wear either biker shorts under my regualr shorts or tights just because my rear would bounce a lot and actually hurt lol.. now that I firmed up a lot, i just wear regular shorts.
Most men are self conscience of over exposing themselves while in spandex; whereas ladies have nothing to reveal, other than their curves. Guys in my running group do wear tights; more so on rainy and cooler days. Short spandex on other occassions.
I find spandex tights do provide the support I need when running, and eliminates any chances of chaffing.
UA Heatgear long tights works for me otherwise it's spandex shorts during the summer. The compression in the fabric definitely helps with the support and muscle stabilization I need when I run. I threw out my self-consciousness about the form-hugging when I found how comfortable they were and that there was no chaffing anymore.
