Running in a forgein country

In september I am going to Lanzarote for a week, which should be considerably hotter than the temperature in my gym, and more humid too!!

I am wondering is it safe to run during the daytime on the beach as I think it would be highly enjoyable. The thing is I will not be used to the heat and do not want to cause myself any harm by pushing my body too hard in unfamiliar conditions.

The hotel has a gym which I am sure will have treadmills, so should I stick to running inside or is it okay to go on the beach during the day?

I will likely just do 20 Mins in the gym HIIT on the treadmill each day and my weights about 3 days in the week....Yes yes I know it is supposed to be a holiday but I can fit a cardio and weight session into an hour anyway :D

I would def do the beach! Just take it easy and be smart....if you feel faint or like you might be sick, then stop. Have fun!

running on beaches is not really a good idea since beaches are slanted and can cause injury, but for a week i doubt its a problem just drink water and have fun

yea agree with doug. sand runnings awesome. the hotter conditions makes your body push a little harder. im all for it. of course, if u feel the sun getting to you stop. key is to wear protective clothing and WATER!
