Running for weight loss

As many have figured out...it's not about a pill or "diet." I eat right and run. What has been the payoff? After 10 weeks, I am 31 lbs. lighter!!

I started off on a treadmill run/walking a couple of miles. I now run on the road. I am up to 5-7 miles a day 5-6 days a week. It feels so good to know that not only am I losing weight, but it is because of my effort and not some pill or fad diet. Of course, I am eating right. I drink mainly water and have chicken or fish 6 days a week and red meat one day a week. For those that need it, I think having one, and only one, cheat day a week is ok, as long as you don't go crazy with it.

I wish all of you out there success and health!!

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your success!

As I stated in my original post above, my diet is locked in. I eat lots of veggies. I eat mainly grilled fish and chicken. I drink lots of water. I agree 100% with you. It is a combination of eating right and exercise.
