Running early morning soon after breakfast

Hi,

2 weeks ago we went out in gym class to run around a field twice that was about .75 of a mile each lap. I got through the first one without stopping fine but once i got to about 1/4 of teh 2nd lap through I wasnt so tired i just felt like throwing up..(NOTE: I had 2 eggs for breakfast that morning) and 3 days ago we went out and did the same thing and i didnt have anything to eat that morning and i noticed my body started getting tired even at 2/4 the way through the first lap! My body almost shut down after 3/4 the way through the first lap which forced me to walk.. and i didnt feel like throwing up that time. Well my main question is - Does what you eat for breakfast make your body have more energy to do things like run for greater distances? if so which foods are best for breakfast in the morning since i have 1st period gym? Should i wake up earlier to eat breakfast for my food to fully digest properly or would i still feel like throwing up? Thanks
 
Yes, eating gives you energy..that's the whole point of eating carbs in fact.

unless you're trying to diet, always eat before any kind of training...cardio or weights.
you felt like throwing up because you didn't have enough time to digest your breakfast...probably because you normally eat 3 big meals a day, so your body digests more slowly than if you ate 5-7 smaller meals a day.

Even if you are dieting, trying to loss fat, you should be eating before cardio or weight-training in the morning. There is no proof that not eating will help you burn more calories. If you do not eat you will have less energy for your workout. And if you do not eat you will be extremely hungry from the rest of the day.
 
Of course there is the huge fasted cardio debate. However, I agree. Eat an apple or some other carby goodness such as that. I know I personally like at least an apple in the mroning before I go running, it makes me feel better. I can't do fasted cardio makes me want to puke / sleep / quit

I don't know how much longer this will be debated. There have been studies showing that participants who drank a carbohydrate drink burned as much fat as someone who did fasted cardio. THis will help you a little bit in maintaining muscle mass.
 
At the end of the day Fasted Cardio is the same as using roids to build muscle.

1 - Its cheating
2 - It works, but its bad for your health
3 - It wont last forever, when you stop you'll be worse than you were before.
