Running clubs

I have decided to join a local running club for motivation and tips. My goals are to break out of this high 8, low 9 minute mile 5K times and increase my long distances to include half marathon.
 
Good work mate. I have been doing the odd charity run. Did 30km yesterday that was organised by a local club.
 
Sweet! Have you picked out a half marathon yet?

Not yet. I'm gonna do a half iron with Flyinfree on April 5 so I'm looking for a half marathon in January or February. I routinely train at the swim and bike lengths for a half iron, so the half marathon is the last piece of the puzzle. Of course, I've never done more than 2 of these events in one day.:)
