running AFTER working out bad?

someone i know told me that if you run for a good 25 minutes after youve weight lifted, your actually burning more muscle off and that its a bad idea if your trying to build muscle. is that true?

btw, if you know more about any combinations of running+lifting that are very effective can you please tell me?

I am pretty sure its better to do cardio after your weights, but yeah if your really skinny like me 6.2 feet tall and 60kg apparently once you start to run over 30 mins i have been told yes you do start to burn muscle of...i only do cardio once a week for 25 mins maybe twice a week because i don't wanna burn of any of the muscle that i have because i have no fat :) if your really skinny and trying to add mass cardio is not a good thing at all and you only want to do enough to keep you from getting puffed lifting the weights

damn that sux, maybe thats why i dont get as much muscle as usual. i started doing alot of cardio this summer so that i can get down on body fat. running around my neighborhood for 30 minutes every other day, and lifting weights every other day... so the cardios just gonna negate the muscle build, but get me cut?

If you do things properly it will not necessarily negate the muscle gains.

what are your goals? Are you trying to bulk or cut?

If you are trying to cut fat then 20 mins of HIIT once or twice a week is a great way to lose fat. However it is imperative that you continue to do resistance training-preferably heavy and low reps so that your body needs to hang on to the muscle. This needs to be combined with an increase in your protein intake to fuel your muscles.
