Hello everyone,
Im new here and I've been looking around and decided I would create my account as I believe Ill be coming back on here more often.
I'm currently in college working for my degree in Criminal Justice and I need to begin training for the police academy. Im not going into state but looking at the local departments first but I want to be on par with State Police PQT standards. Im sure for most of you the running would be easy but heres a link to it.
My run is absolutely terrible right now, which is 1 mile in 8:06. I haven't really ran much in the form of actually running but I play high intensity basketball almost everyday.
I can do the push-ups, sit-ups, pursuit run all fine but the running is my downfall.
According to the test I need to run 1.5 miles in at least 13:50, )which is a score of 5) which for some of you may be a piece of cake but its very difficult for me. I was wondering if using interval training/running while I run would help me lower my times. I just need some advice in being able to do that, and hopefully just run an even 2 miles in about 13-14 min eventually.
Thanks for the help guys.!:action3:
