Run or stretch first?

Hi there,

I am wondering which is better: to strecth the legs a little and run on the threadmill for an hour and do complete stretching afterwards OR vice versa?

I usually lfit weights after the cardio. So, which one is better for the body?

Cheers in advance...

0. Warmup leg/arm Stretches
1. Weights
2. 10 Min rest
3. Warmup Stretches
4. Running

Best order, you dont wanna run b4 u do ur weights, u'll have less energy to get a good weight workout. And always stretch before any exercise because it reduces chance of injury and the next day you won't ache as much.

not sure if this is what Exe meant, but this is a bit better:
- quick leg stretch
- 5 minute run (warmup)
- full stretch

- now, the order of which you do first, weights or running depends on where you want to see the most benefits. Whatever is your highest priority, do first as both will take energy away from the second

My priority would of course to look good for the summer. I know that it takes time to do it but since I do it about 5-6 times a week, I believe that I'll get the results quite quickly.

All I want for the quick results are bigger biceps, tri-ceps and flatter tummy (focusing on a six pack.)

These 3 main objectives are going in a right direction. I was just wondering if I'm doing the right thing to get the results that I want and what is good for my body. That is the reason to my question.

Thank you for the answers.

For quick results, you also need to be on a strict diet ... no junk and lots of protein. To trim down the stomach, you will need about 5-6 hours/week of cardio and train your biceps and triceps 3 times a week ... start off slowly though, otherwise you will overtrain very quickly. Since your goals are to lose weight and gain muscle, I don't think the order is that important ... do whatever works best for you.
