routine

Is it true that when doing a full body workout you should begin with working the larger musles first like the legs working right through to the smaller muscles ie the abs?

After a while could you mix it up or even do the routine in reverse, like begin with abs??
 
as a general rule, yes it's best to work the bigger muscles first since you want to be able to push the hardest with those and make those bigger/stronger.

I do know of some people who mix it up from time to time but I wouldn't consider it until I've been working out for at least 4 or 5 years...
