Hey, I'm looking to buy a road bike. What can you get for various price ranges? Is second hand ok or should I buy new? Saw which look awesome but way out of my price range.
If you can bring a knowledgeable bike person with you, preferably someone who is adept at bike mechanics, buying your first road bike used is the way to go. Otherwise, you need to go to a bike shop and buy new. You can get a decent road bike for $700 new and about half that for used.
