Sport Ripped... Is it any good????

Has anyone used or read about a product called "Evolution Ripped" . It's a protein powder which I bought from GNC. I blend it with skimmed milk and a banana and have it for breakfast after training.

Nutrition Facts1 Scoop 28.5 g
Total calories 100
Calories from fat 0
Protein 25g
Total Carbs Og
Also has Green tea, Caffeine, Guarana Stack, Garcinia Cambogia and Yerba mate. L Carnitine and Glucomanman, R-Alpha Lipoic Acid??????????????????

It says it helps you stick to your diet as it stops cravings. I've been using it for a couple of weeks and I don't feel any hunger until lunch time.
Need to know should I buy more of this or do you recommend something else.

Thanxs.

It doesn't look bad, however the price is what might make it bad. IMO appetite supressants aren't good, because you should be eating every 3 hours or so. But it all depends on your specific goals and conditions. Heck, it wouldn't even be bad just for a protein powder.

I agree. It doesn't appear bad from what you've listed and as an after-training snack it's good (has protein and carbs). Is this one of your meals? So long as your body has protein/carbs every few hours you are good to go.

And just one more thing... are you eating before your training? :)

Looks good.. what are the measurements of all those extra additions?

A problem with a lot of supps is not that they are ineffective, but rather that you are paying for a lot of extras that really arent in a high enough volume for you to benefit.

To answer Lynn's question I don't eat before training. I train at home so I try and do my exercise first thing on an empty stomach as I don't like doing cardio after eating. My routine for the last four weeks has been as follows:
6am - Water and Tea
7am - Exercise - 6 days cardio 3/4 days weights.
9am - Breakfast - Ripped Protein shake, a couple of slices of toast with low sugar jam and cup of tea.
11am - Some fruit
1am - Lunch which is normally homemade vegatable soup with some grated cheese or chicken breast on a wholemeal tortilla wrap, lowfat mayo, some cheese, toms, lettuce.
4pm - Snack - any of the following: fruit/popcorn/wholemeal crackers/peanut butter/yogurt/skimmed milk
7/8pm - Fish/Chicken/Tenderloin of beef/Pork Tenderloin on the bbq with a salad or vegetables. Alchohol I try to keep to the weekend, I normally have a couple of glasses of red wine.
after dinner I sometimes have a glass of skimmed milk.
It seems to be working. I started out weighing 1671bs:eek: and I am now down to 159.5. What are your thoughts, does the diet look ok???

Any comments, ideas greatly welcomed.:D

Damn, you lost 1511.5 lbs!!!!! ;)

That product looks pretty good to me. I'd like to know the price to compare it to other protein shakes though. As I was saying before, prices often get jacked up for additional supplements that are not even present enough to have positive affects.

How much for a tub of Ripped?

Sorry Sorry, got a bit over excited with the keypad..... It sould read... 167 lbs:D
Anyway re price, not too sure. I bought it here in Venezeula, I think exchanged into dollars it's around $45, you get 500grams in the tub which is apparently 17 scoops;)

Yeah thats a real tough break paying for shipping costs as well as the generally high cost of supplements. My advice would be to go with whatever you can find that is well-priced (and good obviously) And buy it in BULK!
Save on the shipping.

Thats awfully expensive for so little product.
Perhaps try looking into:
ON whey http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/opt/whey.html
or EAS 100% Whey. http://www.enutrition.com/eas10wh6lbch.html

They are both fantastic. my personal preference would be chocolate. :D

That's really expensive. I could buy a 10lb bag of ON whey for that price. That's 160 scoops.
