Sport Rice + Black Beans question

Sport Fitness
One of my favorite meals is brown rice and black beans. I am curious how good/bad it is to eat this for lunch + late-afternoon-snack roughly 5 times a week? I confess that I typically add a little bit of frank's red hot sauce to add spice (and sodium), but that's it.

I wash the rice and I absolutely rinse the beans so to keep any inherent sodium levels from those elements down.

For breakfast I typically eat either instant oatmeal or Cheerios. Always with a cup or two of coffee, plus I have a water bottle I keep with me all day and refill it constantly.

Dinner's are usually up in the air. Sometimes it's order-in thai noodles, sometimes it's cooking something at home, sometimes it's a greek burger from a block or two away (I live in Brooklyn, there are wonderful restaurants on almost every block).

Also: would it help if I were to add sliced onions to my rice + black beans?

rice and beans, while veggie and incomplete protein sources separately, do combine as a complete protein (all essential amino acids), so for vegetarians/vegans this is a powerful combo.

beans have good fiber. I do like adding peppers or onions to mine. hot sauce is often pretty decent as a condiment (I have like 6 hot sauces in the fridge, 3 of which are various Tabasco types). even with the sodium you tend to only be using a few teaspoons, and with tabasco its mostly vinegar, peppers and a hint of salt.
