Resting

Hello
I just started working out at the gym with the resistance machines.
I just did a 35 minute session along with 30 minutes of cardio.
At the moment, my muscles ache (which is to be expected, and apparantly a good thing), however im just wondering whether its a good thing to do a 35 minute session everyday or whether i should have a days rest in between everyday i do resistance training?
