restarting the routine

im attempting to lose weight for the second time i know what to do im just slightly unmotivated when i was in shape i was working out 5 days a week 3 times a day i did mostly weight lifting because i had the equipment i would do weighted squats and go for 2 mile walks for cardio i figured that i didnt have to gain weight to get muscle all i had to do was lift and use the muscle i gained to burn the fat from my body it was hard but i loved seeing progress im not so much here for advice but for support i was away from my family for two years and worked out daily but when i went back around them i would binge eat i was cutting alot of calories and fasting alot and didnt realize it until i started seeing them again i think i was on autopilot throughout the whole weight loss process and didnt realize that i was starving myself i lost my motivation due to my mental illness and losing people around me im starting again because i really want to lose the weight and help my overall mental and physical health id appreciate any advice anyone can give when it comes to diet as of now im thinking of just trying a whey diet where i drink two shakes a day and have one meal​
