rest days

I've heard many different things about the amount of days a person should wait between working a muscle. I have been doing a upperbody/lowerbody split twice a week. If I have 3 days of full rest after a workout, say for instance,
Chest
bench pressx3
incline pressx3

3 days should be enough right? Just wondering what yall do, I switch my workout up a lot so this is a new one I've been on.
