Hello, Im new here. Just love the site. I joined IN my local gym 3 weeks ago. Been doign Cardio for 60 min and 50 min of toning and abs. I havent lost any weight in fact i put on 2 punds. I'm so frustraded. Makes me want to quit the gym. They changed my routine in the gym by adding resistance on my cardio. My question is does adding resistance help yo loose weight. Thank U.. very much  ;)

hmmm... i think that it should - b/c it will force your body to work harder in the same amount of time... think of it this way - it's like running up a hill instead of running on flat ground - you will work harder =)

Have you checked to see if you have lost any inches? muscle does weigh more than fat, so if you are replacing your fat with muscle, it won't show on the scale, but it will show on your body and with a tape measure =)

Good luck!!!

Gaaaah! Throw that scale out the window. If you are building muscle you may not lose weight but you are losing fat!

I opt for a tape measure over a scale. Do you clothes fit any better?

Oh, and the higher the resistance the better the work out and the more calories burned. :D
