Sport Replacement for sweet potatos?

I have a decent diet and for the days I put in my sweet potato I am gagging from the taste. I tried switching to baby food jars of it thinking maybe I can shovel it down faster, but it makes me gag to nearly losing my lunch.

Any suggestions for replacement that can give me the same type of carbs and energy?

Regular potato. Its a little lower in fiber and higher on the glycemic index, but its not terrible.

I have to ask how you are preparing the sweet potato though, as they don't have a ton of flavor, I have to think its being mis-seasoned..

Do NOT try putting garlic and other savory things on a sweet potato...they just don't work. However a dash of cinnamon and a light drizzle of honey or some splenda will turn it into a dessert without killing your diet.
 
I love yellow, white, and red potatoes. Never really been a fan of sweet ones. No topping, I have heard of splenda, butter, cinnamon as a few options. I'd prefer not use toppings as to keep track of my calories and intake more easily and avoid consuming anything I shouldn't
 
well cinnamon and splenda are calorie free. a teaspoon of natural honey (or less) sure won't ruin a diet.

just mainly wanted to toss that out there as I've had to gag down garlicy sweet potato once. ONCE.
 
I usually cut them up and put a little oil in a pan and cook them like that with a little seasoning of your choice.
