Regimen vs. Regiment

I see the word "regiment" misused so often on this board (and others). Check this out:

reg·i·ment
n.
A military unit of ground troops consisting of at least two battalions, usually commanded by a colonel.
A large group of people.

reg·i·men
–noun 1. Medicine/Medical. a regulated course, as of diet, exercise, or manner of living, intended to preserve or restore health or to attain some result.
