I keep seeing that refried beans are a no-no. How about 98% fat-free refried beans? Where I live I'm unable to buy the completely fat-free variety.
 
Fat isn't the enemy - so going 100 percent fat free in your life isn't going to totally help... As long as the calories fit into your day, and you enjoy them - then have them...

use an application like to keep track of your daily nutrients and make sure there's some balance between fats, proteins and carbs... beans should give you all of the above...
 
i dont buy refried beans anymore.. i just buy canned beans and smash them myself.. taste great and no added fat like lard or oil (whatever the canned stuff has in it im hispanic we make it with lard lol)
 
Yes as mal said. Fat is not the culprit. It is your way of eating it. If you have a tiresome job which wants you to move around a lot or carry heavy loads -You can take full fat products as it is consumed.But --High fat level is also bad
