Reducing belly fat

I have been jogging/walking for 30 minutes everyday for three weeks now. I've lost only five pounds, but I've been complimented that I look good, so I assume some of the fat has turned into muscle.

However, my lower stomach is still noticeably large. The obvious solution would be to do sit-ups/crunches, but I can never do them right it seems. I used to do 100 sit-ups/crunches everyday, and they had absolutely no effect on me. Are there any alternatives to sit-ups/crunches to reduce my lower belly fat?

I'm female, in case that matters.

You may want to do a little bit of weight training as well to keep you metabolism running up hyper drive to burn off the extra fat.

The thing about fat is you can't just spot train it, so you have to do alot of cardio and dieting to burn it where you want it. Try increasing your run from 30-45 mins instead.

I am a guy but, what I have been doing is 45 mins of cardio for the last 3 weeks myself and then weight train and although I have only lost about a pound or two my size is smaller. fat convert to muscle.

I read somewhere it's like first 30 mins of cardio isn't burning alot of fat, after that is when it burns the most fat, add in the weight training and it keeps your metabolism running to burn even more cals.

Situps will not reduce fat. Cut the calories. Do some crunches every other day to get toned. Running will not turn fat into muscle. You can't turn fat into muscle.

What's your weight and height?

The simple answer is run for longer. Nubbo is totally right there, you need to do cardio for longer. The longer you do it, the more fat is burned. It's that simple.

i didn't mean it in the literal sense that fat turns into muscle, I ment that you are losing fat aswell as gaining muscle (cardio and weight training)
