Recent Sudden Weight Gain?

Hello!

This is the first time I will have felt the need to do this sort of thing because, well, I've never actually struggled with this up until now.

I'm 21, 5'4 and weigh in between 114-115lbs. I know you'll probably think this is a "perfect" weight, and there is nothing to worry about. For me, this is not normal, having weighed no more than 108lbs up until about a year ago, when it began to fluctuate. Similarly at the end of last summer (having not weighed myself very much and being out of college/work), my weight was at 114lbs, although it quickly dropped down to 110lbs once I started working again. My ideal weight would be between 108lbs-110lbs. My immediate family are very slim, my mother didn't start to put on any weight at all until she was in her 40's. My sister is even littler, being 5'5 and about 108lbs. I don't look particularly heavier; I have an "hourglass" shape and would say the weight has gone to mainly my breasts and thighs. But I really cannot stand knowing I weigh this much.

How can I safely drop to at least 110lbs? I'm honestly devastated that this is happening to me, and would appreciate any support I can get.

Thank you !

Hi Lottie. Since you aren't considered overweight and literally only have a few extra pounds, cutting out something that has moderate calories once / day is all you need. Cut out a latte, late night snack, pop, etc ... or, the best thing would probably be to hit the gym. If you aren't already, you might actually gain a bit of weight, as at 114 lbs, it doesn't sound like you have a lot of muscle on you, and that would is very beneficial to maintaining a healthy weight.
