Weight-Loss Really excited to start my life! Question about whey protein

Ok, So at the moment im 15 years old, 16 in 2 months. I currently weight about 233lbs and stand at 6ft. I have no access to a gym but I have an elliptical and a couple of dumbbells, so its a start. I also plan to clean up my diet etc. Thing is, my ideal body is like Mike of the jersey shore (Without the deformed arms :p) Right now, although im 230lbs+ I dont look it really. My dad is only a couple of lbs heavier but a few inches shorter than me and you can really see it. Anyway, Im planning to do 30-60 mins on the elliptical per day follows by weight training and floor exercises, Squats, pressups, crunches etc. But thing is, When do I start with whey protein? I hate fish so my only main protein is chicken breast with the occasional egg. Thanks for any help/advice!

Figure out how much dietary protein your currently getting, how much you need for optimal muscle repair and you should have your answer.


You need to allow time for muscles to recover (daily doesn't help).

sounds to me like you'd benefit from a little more research into body building, I can recommend "Burn fat feed muscle" or "You are your own gym" books.

Both cover nutritional needs and strength training exercise (one is more gym based, the other bodyweight based)

I understand your problem. You want to do your business on your own. But it would be much better if you consult a fitness expert. You will be perfectly directed to the ways you have to adopt in order to shed your weight.
