Reached by lifetime wt goal but dont feel good...

I'm 34 and weigh 187lbs. I used to be 155lbs when I would dream about being 185lbs and now that i'm there I neither feel good about the body nor have the strength or stamina that I would have liked. Life was moving along until today when I pulled out a seater from 5 years ago and put it on only to notice a big bulge around my waist being wider than my shoulders - I said thats it! I have to do something about my body. So I looked up this site and have been browsing for a couple of hours looking at the gallery. I'm impressed and very motivated.

There seems to be a lot of support on this site that i need like many others. So let the journey begin...

Here is my current situation:
Age: 34
Height: 6.4
Wt: 187lbs
BF%: 11% per some website
shot term goal: improve my posture, lose love handles
long term goal: i dont want to be big, i want to be well defined without bulking up too much. Most of all, I want to look good and feel good.

Here is the equipment I have at home that were acquired over the last few years:
1. Pacific fitness zuma - its a complete gym with leg press and thigh extensions: ttp://allaboutfitness.com/images/all_str_zum.jpg
2. The total gym system
3. A exercise bike

Here are my typical eating habits - :
Breakfast: a glass of milk
lunch: chipotle burrito or chk fajitas
dinner: rice and pulses

Can you please suggest where to get started? I'm looking for advice on what to focus on first, abs or gaining wt or muscle. Really appreciate some help here. I'll post some pics soon.

You need to step up with the diet. Your body is in starvation mode.

Diet is everything when it comes to working out. There are some stickies here that can help you in nutrition.

You can't possibly fuel your body on one glass of milk for breakfast. Your body has just starved itself for 7-8 hours. You need to EAT, dude!

Try to eat 4-6 smaller meals a day.

Take a look at the nutrition stickies, and then ask more questions :)

I agree.

I also have a hard time believing that at 6'4 and 185 pounds you'd have much problem at all! ILM is right, diet really is everything. Usually its not so much about eating less (especially in your case) as it is about eating right.

yeah let's see pics.

I am 183-185, abs slightly show, but I have "some" muscle, at only 5'9.75"

On the not feeling good thing... another contributing factor may be having "appearance" only goals. Performance is a better goal in my opinion. the appearance will come naturally, and it actually even trumps the appearance. ie: I wan to have 8 pack abs with a vein,, BUT- I can do things that most 6 pack abs dudes can't. A lil Fat reserve can go a long way.

that's my .02

I am gonna try to be kind...

You're diet sucks. A glass of milk, a chipotle burrito and rice and pulses (what is that?) are your only meals each day? No wonder you don't feel good!

You're 6'4" 187 lbs and you have love handles? I demand pictures. I am 5'11" and 188 pounds and I have love handles and barely!

You're diet needs a big upgrade!

Thanks for all the feedback. I'm currently reading through the nutrition section and will come up with a diet plan for myself. I will post it to seek feedback. Will also start with some basic exercises. Haven't worked out in a while...

I'll post the pictures in the gallery if it will let me. Here are the url's if that wont work. Please add an "h" in front of the link.
