RDA of Protein for childern

hi

My son is 13 and he keeps asking me the RDA (recomended daily amount) for protein? i dont know what it is. Im a doctor so i should know but i dont. Please could anyone tell me?

Keep in mind the RDA is the minimum amount, on average.
for an average adult male, its like 60g a day. a 13 year old is growing, so I would imagine the RDA isn't much lower.

but remember, its more about total calories. if a kid doesn't eat many carbs, they'll need more protein and fat to keep calories up, and thusly energy levels up.
