Sport Raw Food Diet?

Sport Fitness
Hi,
I'm a raw foodist myself, and I'm curious how other people feel about the diet? Has anyone tried it? Heard of it? Know anyone on it?

Thanks~

A great friend of mine has been on the raw food diet for years now. She loves it. Cured all of her illnesses. I know all about it from a nutritionist/fitness perspective, but have not pursued switching myself.

I need learn more recipes :)

I'll add that to my "107 things to do within the next hour" list :p

I am familiar with it. I try to incorporate plenty of raw foods in to my diet. They're so important for the enzymes, as well as other nutrients.
Feel free to post recipes for all of us.

Hi sarah and lynn,

Make the jump, try raw for awhile!
Sure, I'll post some simple recipes.
If you were to aim to eat just 50% raw foods each day, you would feel the benefits.
It's so easy to do, eating only fruit for breakfast is so easy. Just get a good smoothie maker, and start experimenting. I like the simple recipes, like banana, orange juice and strawberries.
Then, all you have to do for the next two meals is fill half your plate with salad, for example:
tomato, avocado, almonds and cucumber...and of course, lots of olive oil.

Sorry, I haven't really posted any recipes persay, have I?
Well, if you are interested, I have some on my site, the link is in my signature file.
Let me know if you decide to 'go raw'!

wth do you do for protein?
or is the raw food diet a vegetarian/vegan thing too?

if so, I'll pass. there's nothing natural about not eating meat.

I eat fish. You can eat what you like, essentially, as long as at least 75% is raw, you are technically a 'raw foodist'. But you don't need to be in any category, there is no doubt that everyone should be eating more raw food.

I think eating meat is natural...if you catch it wild and skin it yourself.
I do not think that breeding animals, keeping them in a field, injecting them with fillers, periodically slaughtering them, hanging them in a freezer, cutting them up, packing them in plasic after adding preservatives, and finally, slapping a price on them and sitting them in supermarkets...is natural.

I'm all for anything thats natural. I think eating meat, for humans, is natural, just not in the way that we've 'evolved' to eat them.
