Ramen Noodles

that is a good questions. i eat like 3 or 4 a day.

we usually wouldn't want to eat that unless if there's really nothing else to eat.
it's not really good for ur health, high in addicitives, and its esp harmful if it's fried type of ramien...and it IS high in sodium.

i never eat that in china, and am quite amazed by how people are driven around it in korea.

they're just instant noodles, ya know.

bad. way too high in sodium. and I believe they have a fair amount of saturated fat for being 'just noodles'. (since I never buy these, I don't have a label to look at, but according to fitday.com 7g of fat, 3g of which is saturated..and that's per serving...most people eat the whole package, so double the above numbers)

Ramen noodles

MMm boy are they good. But good for you? Absolutlely not. Seeing as you are posting in the "healthy recipes" forum, I am assuming that overall nutrition is important to you, not just fat and caloric content.

Ramen noodles are not only ridiculously high in sodium, but they also contain trans-fatty acids, one of the worst things you can eat.

"Trans fatty acid is a stiff fat that can build up in the body and create havoc. The areas affected include the lining of your blood vessels and brain surfaces, where the build-up can cause dysfunction. Trans fatty acids are linked to obesity, heart disease, diabetes, high cholesterol and even sudden cardiac death."

You can often find trans fatty acids by seeing 'partially hydrogenated oil' on the list of ingredients.

I cook 3 eggs in my ramen, and make a eggand noodle soup :0
