Quite a conundrum..

Well here is my dilema, I'm currently in an exercise phyisiology class. And to pass we must run a 5k race, here's the twist. If I beat the professor I recieve extra credit in the class, he runs it in about 22 minutes. I'm not great with cardio, but I'm decent. Training hard until gameday I could probably be around there.

OR

If I weigh 200+ lbs, I get my time reduced by 30%. I currently am at ~192. Do I try to lose weight and beat him straight up, or gain weight and then I just have to keep it under 28min, which is cake.

Right now I'm leaning toward 200+ :)... Let's hear it!!!

His advantage is he probably does this all the time, aside from the obvious once a term, so if you're not ready to dedicate yourself to an olympic-training regimine, it might be best to get the 200+...I'm not sure though, you know your abilities and his much more than I do, so you can weigh out your advatages vs his, which it sounds like you already have. Good luck.
