Quick Running Question

Ok I am going to make this short as possible

I want to run to stay in shape and tone up...I am only like 148 lbs and 5'10 so I do not want to lose weight

What kind of running should I do to accomplish this? I would really prefer to not have to run for more than 25 minutes if that is possible, I really just want to stay in pretty good shape and tone up

Please explain your definition of "toning up". We can't help you achieve something if were not sure on exactly what it is you want.

I guess by toning up, I mean making my muscles more defined

Ok, then don't run more then 25 minutes. Simply do it at a sustained high intensity. Try some HIIT, Check sticky.
Nothing wrong with staying under 25 minute training. So long as you aren't hoping to run marathons.

Running won't make your muscles more "defined" or "Toned". It will help increase your calorie expenditure which may or may not help you loose weight if rest of the process is in order. Which reduces body fat% which allows muscles to "show" without fat in the way, giving one a more "defined" look.
 
wow just read that sticky and turns out i was actually doing something very similar

I was just going like 2 minutes sprint though, then one minute kinda fast walking, but it sounds good ima give it a shot
 
... and a little strength training wouldn't hurt ;)

hahaha yea i am lifting too of course, hopefully it will pay off, seems to so far
