Quick Question

When posting pictures in posts... how do you make it so that it shows up right in the post without people having to click thumbnails to get to it?

The image has to have a URL.That means it has to be hosted somewhere else on the internet.

If you want to post one of your own photos, it needs to be hosted on another site, and then put the URL in your post using the little image button.

The site does allow you to host images through the attachments feature, but it will show up as an attachment and not as a full photo right in the text.

Go to a site like photobucket.com and upload the picture there. Under the pic you'll see a box titled URL, copy and paste that link into your post and it'll appear as an image on the thread

cool, I got it.

Do you guys know how to make image file sizes smaller so that they meet the attachment requirements? I don't have photoshop or anything... and have already taken the pics.

You can make the images smaller with Microsoft Paint (Standard with Windows). Different versions have it named differently. Either the re-size option, or on older versions its the Stretch and Skew option.

Cool... I figured that out.

For some reason I still can't link pictures from photobucket.com

I uploaded them and made them fit within the size restrictions and etc... but it keeps failing to link to this site when I try to make it an attachment.. I tried every URL link that was possible.

I'm actually pretty good with computers too...
