Quick question about abs

I've been doing a lot of sit ups, crunches etc to build my abdominal muscles the past 2 months. When I tense, I feel a lot of hard muscle underneath my belly but I have a layer of blubber that won't go away! I could probably press about 1cm with my finger into my stomach before I hit the actual abs.

How much cardio would it take to get rid of this layer in lets say, 9 months? At the moment I'm satisfied with my muscle strength but it looks like im getting fatter and fatter because no fat is getting burnt off :(

You need to measure and record your caloric intake and also calculate how many calories you are burning. If you burn more than you take in, your 'blubber' will begin to go away. If you are in a caloric balance, your 'blubber' will stay the same. If you are in a caloric surplus, your 'blubber' will grow.

It really is that simple.
