Hey all!! My name is Haley and I'm happy to be here! I hope that I can share useful tips and information and learn a bunch!! I'm a college student who loves to rock climb, go to music festivals, and film and edit videos. I also love animals and have several!!

I have struggled with my weight since high school. It seems like, although the general trend has been for my weight/amount of body fat to go down, I am kind of at a standstill!!

I am looking for tips and ways to beat the classic "plateau" that people reach. A little about my diet and exercise routine:

I don't eat meat.

I don't eat any kind of animal milk/byproduct OTHER THAN eggs! I DO eat eggs :) so I am not a vegan. (No I don't eat honey)

I eat very little sugar.

I don't typically eat food that comes in a box.

I don't eat grains.

I hardly ever eat fruit because the natural sugars make me gain weight (trust me!!!).

I drink about 100 oz of water a day.

I drink coffee every couple of days.

I drink tea often.

I try to stick to eggs, fresh produce, and beans and lentils ONLY! I eat flax seed, chia, and hemp hearts. I cook with coconut oil. (I just recently started incorporating fats because I used to avoid them at all costs.)

I rock climb almost every day and try to do cardio and other exercises several times a week.

I am bad about eating consistently and often times will eat 1 or 2x a day, so I am working on eating small portions more often to keep my metabolism going! What helped you beat your plateau? I am getting married in a month and I want to get as tiny as possible!! Thank you all for reading such a long post :). Thanks for your help!

Do you know how many calories you generally eat?
Rock climbing is an amazing workout. Being that active you shouldn't have too many problems losing weight. Maybe you are just at a weight that your body is happy at.

I eat less than a thousand calories a day (I know that's not good!). I was stuck at 125 for a while but I am now keeping it between 110 and 115 but I would like to lose more body fat while gaining minimal muscle. Aiming for the "model" look!

Not a big calorie counter! I have one egg in the morning. Then I sometimes have a vegetable protein shake or a protein bar. Then I will have some steamed zucchini and broc with egg at night and maybe a spoon of peanut butter

Yea, that's a horrible diet. Way too low of calories. I'm not sure what kind of model you are looking to be, but all the top super models are not sticks, they are "fit", which means they spend a lot of time doing exercise / yoga / etc. Once you gain some decent muscle (don't worry, you are a women, so can't get "big"), you will be able to eat more and not gain any weight.

I can honestly say I do "get big!" Both parents have bulky body types and I am looking for lean, not bulky. And as little muscle mass as possible! My biceps and shoulders are large due to climbing especially

Since I lift weights and rock climb my shoulders and arms especially get large. I want more of the model style with very low muscle. Such as runway. My arms are huge compared to them haha! That is why I keep my caloric intake so low but it has proven to be hard for me to get below a certain weight without also gaining more muscle from working out since my arms are already too muscular for my taste! :).

Unfortunately, I'm not much help then. I can't encourage anyone to have such an unhealthy game plan. Low calories and no muscle tone is not good. It can cause a lot of long term health problems. Unless you are on the path to making good money as a runway model, I'm not sure why you would be looking for that. To most people, runway models are not even attractive.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder of course, and I happen to like that look. I'm not worried about looking attractive to anyone else but me!

Thanks for trying to help and for replying to my post! Since everyone has different aesthetic tastes I should probably not turn to someone who is a personal trainer for body builders or highly muscular, but rather to someone who maintains a very 'skinny' and low muscle build! It seems like endurance runners have that, though my body has always seemed to like sports like track, cheer, and climbing over things like cross country or marathon running. No matter! I will aim to achieve my goals :)!

I agree 100% on what "looks good". My comments are more on what "is good", health wise. Models have very little muscle or body fat ... neither of which are healthy.

Low muscle mass:
- metabolism is shot. If you don't have muscle, you don't have a furnace to burn calories. Maintaining a healthy weight (and eating healthy) is extremely hard
- if you have no muscle, any protein goes to trying to build the little muscle you have instead of going to your organs, where it is needed. Can cause serious organ failure
- Low muscle mass puts your body in to a "stressed state", which makes your immune system compromised. the likelyhood of getting sick and staying sick increases dramatically

Low body fat:
- #1 - heart problems. heart slows down and can lead to arrhythmia or sudden cardiac death
- fatigue because of lack of caloric stores
- reproductive system shuts down. People with low body fat AND low muscle have an extremely hard time conceiving and can cause life-long damage
- immune compromised (same as low muscle)

Sorry to sound like a mother, but I can't stress enough how unhealthy it is to be in the "model" state.
