Weight-Loss Quick ? about calorie intake

I was just wondering if anyone could help me out with this. What would be an ideal calorie intake for me in one day, just to start out? I have found multiple figures and am hoping someone can help. I would like to cut my calories to lose weight, but not too low as to starve myself and slow my metabolism more.

I once went on a 1200 calorie diet. It wasn't bad at all. You'll find if you look, there is a low calorie version of pretty much everything you like. MY mother in law went on it too and lost 70 pds in 8 mths....as with any diet though the trick is sticking with it. I hope this helps you some!
 
just eat 5-6 small meals throughout the day, as opposed to 2-3 bigger meals. it keeps your body using up the food and less will be stored as fat.
