Hello all. I have a few questions that I hope you can help answer.

1. Is there any nutritional reason to cook oatmeal? I prefer to eat it uncooked in skim milk just like cold cereal. Is there any pros or cons to eating it "raw / uncooked"?

2. Will eating dinner just 1 hour before bedtime hinder fat loss if it is healthy food choices, under 400 calories and within my calorie limits for the day?
I hear a lot about not eating within a few hours of bed time in order to lose fat, however I am usually not hungry for dinner until about 9 or 9:30 pm.

3. On Saturdays, I either have a cheat meal (Mexican food or Pizza) OR I have 7-8 alcoholic drinks partying with friends. If they each total about 800 calories, is one any better or worse than the other (choosing the cheat meal or the night of drinking). I actually feel fatter for a couple of days following a big cheat meal, I don't feel this after a night of drinking without the cheat meal.

Any comments or suggestions are appreciated.

Booze is bad

I would not recommend binge drinking if you care about your physical and mental health.

3. Booze is loaded with empty useless calories and takes forever to burn out of the body. Go easy if you must have a drink.
 
No s**t. No need to state the obvious. Although I have been drinking moderately on weekends most of my adult life and am actually quite healthy, physically and mentally.
I had a few specific questions. Do you wish to offer any specific answers (perhaps to eat tofu as my protein source)?
 
Ya, why not eat tofu as one source of your protein. Its the bomb. I just don't see the point of drinking 7 - 8 alcoholic beverages in one sitting other than to get buzzed or drunk, which makes no sense to me.

I eat tuna 2 - 3 times a week, but no more than that since large fish contains high mercury. I eat sole / orange roughy / tilapia / cod 3 - 4 times a week along with chicken. I dont eat too much beef since I will only eat it if its organic, that gets $$$.
