Questions on useing CLA for weight management and strength gains

Recently been thinking of useing CLA to manage/lose weight and also to make strength gains. I would like others opinons on CLA and also if there are any serious side affects, long or short term. Also, i would like to know if there are any alternatives to get the same affect as CLA. Thanks. Any info is appreciated
 
i've only heard that it can cause an insulin sensitivity in a lot of people ... but, by a lot, i basically mean that some studies say yes, and some say no ... i think it's genetic.
