Hi everyone! I was just wondering if it's ok to do a strength training work out in the morning before I have anything to eat? i've been exercising to Jillian Michaels on On Demand and her workouts consists of combining cardio with strength training. I read somewhere that it's ok to do a cardio workout before eating anything but not a strength training workout? Is that true? Thanks!

If you can't remember where you read it or whether it was a reputable source, why would you consider it to be valid? :)

There are benefits to eating before and benefits to not - and unless you're at the stage in your life where you're looking to minimize fat to the single digits or building muscle for competition, basic, cursory research from reputable sites will tell you that ultimately it doesn't really matter.

For just cutting fat, then yes it is the best time to workout. Although you don't have as much energy because you have not eatin anything, therefore your workouts will not be as intense if you were to eat something first.
