Hi
Can anyone help me out can we use fresh garlic and ginger
and weigh these up with our vegetable intake or do we have
to use powder form? (yuk)
Thanks Jenni

Hi Jenni

I dont personally do it... but I believe that YES you can weigh your garlic and ginger up as part of your vege allowance.

I do it with things like coriander and parsley etc ... and I'm pretty sure I remember my consultant saying something about Garlic last year...

I cant see the problem as long as you include it in your allowance. A friend of mine uses a peeled clove of garlic to rub around her frypan that way she doesnt have to give up any of her allowance... you could try that too =)

Hi,
I think you can have fresh herbs and include them in veg allowence but not the ones in the convenient jar already chopped. I have been including my chopped corriander in veg allowence and I have a sprinkle of garlic flakes they taste better than the powder. I think I might try rubbing my pan with a clove of garlic so it will give me the flavour and allow me a few extra precious grams of vegies.

i am missing my evening milo, ( I dont drink tea or coffee ) I used to enjoy herbal teas I think I will take them up again can anyone suggest some flavors and brands ?

Hi Tara,

I would really recommend Oolong tea. I'm drinking about 5 cups a day. I fell in love with it when I visited Singapore last year, then again I fell in love with everything about Singapore and would probably have stayed there permanently if it wasn't for the WF and animal children. :)

Thanks Kannadew and ithinkican, for the relies re:garlic
and ginger I'm so glad and rubbing the pan is a great
idea instead, so I will be doing this.
I too miss my cuppa tea and my nightly hot milo with
my beautiful daughter(4) when I have put my 19 month
old daughter to bed that is our special thing so I have
told her that mummy is having a little break for a while
and then I will have one with her.
