Question on my HR

Gday, straight to the point. Yesterday i was doing my interval training for football(aussie rules), my heart rate on my moniter after the 3th and 4th sprints was reading 246 and 235 respectively.
Later sprints maxed out at 198 bmp

I am aware of the rough HR guide (220-age). I wanted to know how dangerous is it the exceed these limits. This is not the first time i have pushed past these levels.

The intervals where equivalent to "drop sets".
600m sprint x 1 wait till HR was down to under 150bmp
300m sprint x 2 same break with all int
200m sprint x 3
100m sprint x 6

Edit: i am 18 yo

Cheers for any comments

Im very doubtful you were up to those numbers heart rate monitors can sometimes chuck out some funny values.

I used to run for competition for both sprint and long distance and my HR never got to those numbers so I would check again bcuz it shouldnt exceed 200, at 220 even if your really in shape Ive seen people pass out.

gday again, ive been fairly interested in what is actually happening so ive been lucky enough to get a spot next month for a VO2 Max test at my uni, should be interesting to how things go. Not sure wether it is on the bike or treadmill yet. Cheers for your input will keep u guys posted on how it goes.

Great. Please post the results once you get them. I'll be curious to know what heart rate you are achieving, mate.

Most likely will be on the bike.
